Identification
Service Parts Label Identification Label is located in the console,
below the door. It
includes the vehicle identification number, a listing of option codes, paint
type, paint code, and an interior trim code.

S- Standard Seats are the most common
C- Custom seats are like Standard, but have a rear pocket.
D- Deluxe seats are the "Ultima" Articulating seats
Myth: The Deluxe seats were available only in the GTA.
Myth: The Plastic Sculptured door panels were only available with the
Articulating "GTA" seatsMyth: Leather was only available in the GTA,
FACTS: The 87 Sales brochure indicates leather seats as an option on the Formula. Consumers Guide uses a photo of an 87 Formula which clearly has the Deluxe "Ultima" seats with leather"
Fact: The Plastic Sculptured door panels were standard with the Deluxe seats. 87-89
The Paint
Code
The Paint Code indicates the exterior paint color. A two part paint code
indicates the bottom and top colors. Vehicles using the letters L and U indicate
which code represents the lower body and the upper body colors respectively.
Included on this label is a four digit number indicating the exterior body
color. This number has been noted along with the exterior GM code.
